How it works

  1. Create Account
    Download and open the Tapcheck app on your mobile device. Click the ‘Create my Account’ button at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Input Personal Information

    • Type your full legal name. Your first name must match exactly what your employer has in their payroll system (no nicknames or shortened versions).
    • If an email/cell phone is already in use, you may already have an existing account. Return to the login screen and try again.
    • Create a password that follows the listed requirements.

  1. Verify Email / Phone

    • Enter the confirmation pin to verify your contact information.
    • After 40 minutes, your pin will expire. If this happens, you’ll need to go back to step one.
    • If you didn’t receive a pin, you can request a new one to be sent via a different notification option.

  2. Select Employer

    • We may match you to your employer based on the personal information you entered in the previous steps. Make sure to select your current employer.
    • If you weren’t matched to an employer, confirm with your employer that they have officially launched with Tapcheck.

  3. Verify Identity & Registration Success

    • Tapcheck will use the information provided to verify your identity.
    • Supply the necessary documents (like photo ID) and submit for verification.
    • Once processed, you will be able to use Tapcheck!

  4. Check Available Balance

    • Tapcheck will provide you with an available balance based upon hours' worked, which can be transferred to a bank account or pay card.
    • Your employer sets the max limit that can be transferred each day. Typically, this ranges from $100 to $200 per day.

  5. Input Personal Information for Transfer

    • Tap the transfer button to start a new transfer request.
    • You can choose how much you want to transfer (starting at $20).
    • Select one of the preset options or customize an exact amount to transfer to your bank account or pay card.
